Fireflies. Lazier days. Longer days. Summer.
When we first moved to Williamsburg, I had a crazy idea and hosted a Capture Your Babie contest for a few years in the coldest days of winter. Even today, many people still in my life today came from that crazy contest idea. By now, you know that I'm starting my last year of law school. While, I can photograph occasionally when school is in session, studying takes over my life for the semester. For me, photography is chicken soup for my soul.
I know the thought of family portraits in the summer might make you think of humid, sweat and frizz. But...what if we capture the magic of summer? Sunsets on the beach, picnics, balls, backyard camping... I've had an idea for a summer family contest for a few years now, but web stuff isn't really my cup of tea and I couldn't pull it together before. But...this year, I'm ready.
For the next few weeks, I'm hosting a Capture Your Family Contest. Same concept as the Babie Contest, but outdoors. I have no idea who (or if anyone) will come besides my own kiddos. (They don't have a choice.) Details and signups are are on my website. For judges, I'm thinking of tracking down some Babie Contest alums to help.
